lyrics

STRUGGLING WITH THE YIN-YANG

The news is ringing in my ears and fogging up my eyeballs
It’s hard to know what to say when they say the things that they say
Don’t call it ignorant I’m just as ignorant as you are
They sell you ice cubes in Iceland when really they’re from Greenland

And who’s to blame them when the money comes in uber loads
So much information don’t want my head to explode

Then someone has the nerve to tell you this is really what you need
For sanity, then take it all away

Listen to mommy she knows what is truly good for you
But just be careful of the things she may be listening to
They say that music opens doors it’s rather good to dance to
‘Cause if it makes you tingle probably thanks to drummer Ringo

And all his cohorts that were born into another time
And those before him boy they really made the sun shine indoors

Just then the news comes in it’s time to be distracted again
They call it A.D.D. or something that the doctor gives a name
And they make the cure so hard to get

There was a time when people first lived on these foreign lands
When things got hard discovered ways to heal their minds with plants
We take 3000 years of theories and just throw them away
Or is it that they don’t make richer people richer everyday

I have a friend who told me
If you’re good, prepare ‘cause that evil
Will always meet you eye to eye

Singer-songwriter duo from Toronto & Heidelberg, Germany.

They make it pretty obvious that they don’t have any genre borders. With vocal harmonies in the foreground, they dive through progressive chord changes, intrusive arrangements and sometimes round it off with well crafted ballads
